About Us

Seguin-Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Since 1989, the Seguin-Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SGCHCC) has been a powerful voice and vital resource for Hispanic-owned businesses and the broader community. What began as a vision to uplift and empower the Hispanic business community has grown into a dynamic organization rooted in advocacy, collaboration, and cultural celebration.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to fostering economic growth, empowering Hispanic businesses, and preserving the rich cultural heritage of our community. Through advocacy, networking, education, and strategic partnerships, SGCHCC works to create a thriving business environment that benefits both Hispanic entrepreneurs and the greater Seguin and Guadalupe County region.

What We Do

  • Promote Economic Development – Supporting Hispanic-owned businesses and small business growth.

  • Celebrate Culture – Hosting annual events like Fiestas Juan Seguin, Fiestas Patrias, and Cinco de Mayo to honor heritage and connect communities.

  • Empower Future Leaders – Offering mentorship, business referrals, workshops, and networking opportunities.

  • Build Bridges – Serving as a liaison between local government, educational institutions, and business leaders to foster unity and opportunity.

Our History

The SGCHCC was founded in 1989 during a time of great determination and vision. Despite initial resistance from local leadership, dedicated community members, with support from the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce, pushed forward to establish the Chamber.

In 2007, we secured our headquarters at 971 West Court Street in Seguin, Texas. Our Chamber has since become an essential partner in local development and cultural preservation.

Leadership

Our Board of Directors and Executive Committee represent a wide range of local businesses, civic leaders, and entrepreneurs who are committed to building a better future for all. Leadership includes elected officers, committee chairs, and a President/CEO dedicated to driving our mission forward.
